Widespread serodiagnosis first began in the late 1980’s. Early tests reported a high false positive rate approaching 20-30%. Improved tests are now available, but a supplemental testing procedure is recommended to assure accurate serodiagnosis.
GenBio provides both ImmunoWELL products for more than 8-9 samples at one time and ImmunoDOT if less than 9 specimens are tested at one time. ImmunoDOT offers the added advantage that its performance is similar to the combined microtiter assay and western blot result so that unnecessary supplemental western blot testing may be avoided.
